The Whortonsville Yacht & Tractor Club was extablished at Ensign Harbor Marina back in 1990. The WYTC is located on Brown's Creek in the tiny coastal village of Whortonsville, NC, a short jog off of the Intracoastal Waterway as it passes through the lower Neuse River. While most of our people are sailors, Ensign Harbor welcomes transient boats on their way north or south along the ICW as well as long term wet boat storage.
The WYTC has several items for sale that our manufactured right here at WYTC headquarters. We, of course, have WYTC yacht burgees and tee shirts for sale as well as our new Count the Ways Hatch Tent, and hatch screens. The CTW Hatch tent is a wonderful thing to have on a boat due to its many uses and easy stowage. It can even prolong the useful life of expensive canvas items such as dodgers, while reducing moisture and mildew below. the WYTC is located in the small coastal village of whortonsville, north carolina. everyone in town (pop. 53) is a member, regardless of yacht or tractor ownership. quilters and fisherman are automatically awarded special status. the WYTC is best known for its annual "summer solstice sailabration", a quasi-regatta which employs a complex handicapping system. the race has been held annually for 19 years, and during that time no skipper has ever won twice. the last place finisher is awarded a giant zucchini.
